JILL WEINBERGER grew up outside of Philadelphia and moved to Los Angeles after attending Penn State. She studied screenwriting with Sharon Johnson and Ron Suppa at UCLA Extension. After spending a year as a tour guide at Universal Studios, Jill built a successful freelance editing business and found the freedom to aggressively pursue a writing career.
Jill was a finalist in the 2004 Austin Film Festival competition with the "WEST WING" spec "65 Women." Her "WILL & GRACE," "A Good Gay Man Is Hard to Find," won first place in the sitcom category of the Fall 2003 TV Writer.Com Spec Scriptacular. Features include "Finding Sosua," a semi-finalist at the 2004 Screenwriting Expo, and the supernatural thriller "Goodnight, Lover," which finished in the second round at Austin in the 2005 Adult and Sci-Fi categories.
A lifelong theatre junkie, Jill has done everything from designing costumes to stage managing professionally. She's done stand-up and performed improv with the L.A. Connection, but writing remains her passion.
Jill lives in Venice Beach with her two cats and a lot of dust.
